#Environmental management
The environment is very close to our hearts.
Concern for the environment is particularly important to us as a processing company. As a company, we can have a direct impact on the environmental balance sheet through prudent processes and sustainable management.
Therefore, it is a matter of course for WIGGENtech to comply with all specifications and laws for the protection of the environment and health. As part of our certification plans, we are striving to achieve DIN ISO 14001 by the end of 2023, in order to be able to provide official proof of this in addition to the environmental orientation processes that we already practice on a daily basis. The principle of environmental protection is anchored in our corporate philosophy and already goes beyond the legal standards and regulations.
We design our processes based on the following principles:
- Recycling and feeding of process waste into the recycling loop (chips)
- general prevention of pollutants
- Avoidance of environmentally hazardous substances
- Waste separation
In all our activities, we aim to avoid harmful effects on the environment with foresight and use valuable raw materials and energy sparingly. We strive to generate as little waste, noise and other emissions as possible. We manufacture sustainable products and consider the entire life cycle as well as the complete supply chain.
By the end of 2021, we have already equipped the entire production hall with LED lighting fixtures. At present, the installation of a photovoltaic system for our own energy use on our production roofs is being examined.
We are going one step further: although it is not mandatory for SMEs, we are planning to conduct an energy audit to gain our transparency on electricity consumption and identify additional savings opportunities. In the future, we would like to fully and continuously evaluate and optimize the consumption of all machines and systems within the framework of the PDA connection.
These various investments ensure that WIGGENtech GmbH will remain competitive in the future despite rising energy costs, whileminimizing its carbonfootprint by saving many tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
